Steve Davis KOs defending champion Higgins at Crucible

52 years young Steve Davis has eliminated current Crucible John Higgins in an epic match overnight.
Scored were level at 9-9 with Davis making it 10-9 before Higgins missed an easy blue and clearance from that point for Davis to move to an 11-9 lead in the race to 13 match.
Davis won 13-11 eventually to what he claimed was one of the top two highlights of his entire career.
Higgins was generous in his praise of Steve Davis calling him the greatest whuilst admitting he had not played as well as he usually does.
Davis will play Neil Robertson, who pulled off a Houdini act in coming from 11-5 down to beat Martin Gould 13-12.
