John Gower of Woolston Club has won the Woolston Sunday Open held at the club Sunday April 10 beating Cory Hall of Richmond 2-0 in the final.
A small but competitive field contested the event which was notable for some good breaks by most of the players as below.

Semi 1 saw top qualifier Engebretsen lose to Cory Hall 2-1 on the pink in the decider while John Gower overcame Ollie 2-1 after Ollie had potted all the colours and had an easy pink which needed to be forced to obtain position on the black to make it a black ball game.
Unfortunately it popped out and left Gower a comfortable shot into the middle pocket for the win.
